In 2014, for the exhibition dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Kyiv Experimental Ceramics and Art Factory, the Sazonov family provided 90% of the works from the common exposition. The success of the exhibition itself and visitors’ interest to Kyiv porcelain inspired the creation of the museum. The museum was created in 2015 in Kyiv based on the collected materials and works that formed the basis of the collection owned by Roman and Tatiana, the Sazonov family. Since the lion's share of the collection, which has been formed since 2008, accounted precisely for the products of Kyiv Experimental Ceramics and Art Factory, the museum was named "Kyiv Porcelain". There are many porcelain collectors. But not every collection turns into a museum. We decided that as many people as possible should admire by such beauty, the artworks of the main porcelain masters of Ukraine. "And in 2015, we founded our own Kyiv Porcelain Museum", says Roman Sazonov.
