The Sazonov family, Roman and Tetiana, are the initiators of creation and founders of the museum. P assion for porcelain, reproduction of Kyiv porcelain traditions, presentation and educating people about the property, historical value and the importance of preserving the traditions and culturalheritage of Kyiv porcelain formed the basis of their future collection. The museum was conceived and created on the basis of their ideas, collected archival data, materials and small form porcelain sculptures. All this formed the basis of the future collection, and then the foundation of the museum. To date, the Sazonov family continues hosting the collection actively, studying and compiling the archival data, and holding exhibitions. Roman Yurievich Sazonov, the head of the Sazonov family, is the main sponsor of Kyiv Porcelain Museum. He is a financier, economist, collector, and teacher. Tetiana Pavlivna Sazonova, Roman Yurievich’s wife is the director of the museum. She is also a psychologist, art critic, and collector.
