Svitlana Vladyslavivna Golembovska

Svitlana Vladyslavivna Bolzan (married Golembovska) was born on August 28, 1927 in the city of Odessa.

After graduating in 1951 from the ceramics department of ODHU (transferred to the Kyiv School of Decorative and Applied Arts).

In the early 1950s, four early works were created: "Girl with an Apple", "Boy on Skis" ("Skier"), "Girl Molding a Woman" ("Snowman"), "Boy on a Horse" ("Rider").  Since then, recognition has been coming to Svitlana Vladyslavivna.

The artist S. Bolzan was known in Kyiv as a participant in numerous exhibitions, as she made her debut as early as 1948 in Odesa. Subsequent works brought world recognition to Svitlana Vladyslavovna. She was the first among KECAF artists after the war to master the happy childhood theme.

She worked at KECAF from May 7, 1951 to May 14, 1964, she made more than 14 iconic sculptures on the theme of happy childhood, made up to 40 variants of painting forms of tableware, vases and accessories of her own models and the authorship of colleagues, she made no less than 55 works in porcelain, some of them are multi-person sets. In 1956, she was admitted to the Union of Artists of Ukraine for her contribution to the porcelain and earthenware industry of Ukraine.
